Somerset-born Hazlitt spent 12 years in bands, including electro band Tiger Force, before going solo in 2009 and changing genres completely. She now plays with a mini-orchestra taking classical film music into rock venues and new audiences.
Her first solo album ‘Requiem For Little Bird’ was recorded and produced in Hollywood by David Norland (Anvil Movie, Frankmusik, Janet Jackson) and drew attention from award winning composer Clint Mansell, as well as being used by Red Bull for their extreme sports DVD ‘Romaniacs 2009’. She was commissioned by Boosey & Hawkes in 2009 for a library album, due out Sept 2010.
She wrote, performed and produced all the music for the latest Adidas viral ad campaign ‘The Quest’ during the 2010 football world cup, the first of its kind. She also orchestrated and produced their ‘Fast Vs Fast’ TV advert, covering Ennio Morricone’s ‘The Man With The Harmonica’.
Previously she has worked with London Bach Choir, (including performing for Prince Charles’ private carol service in St James’s Palace) Mediaeval Baebes, Emmy The Great, Bridgette Amofah and The Irrepressibles, and sung on the soundtrack for ‘Narnia: Prince Caspian’ and the world premiere of Rutti’s Requiem, produced by Adrian Peacock.
Hazlitt counts William Orbit, Clint Mansell, Frankmusik, and Gabriella Cilmi among her fans.
