Faith Of Merchants

Faith Of Merchants are steadily making a name for themselves in London as an outstanding live act that has to be experienced. Charismatic front man singer/songwriter Jim Connelly has been likened to a British Jim Morrison, and he tickles his semi-acoustic like a flamenco guitarist without the shiny trousers. But don't be fooled by the acoustic guitar and dark, melancholic tunes - they have their pin-drop moments, but this band is no stroll in the park.

They have been described as "Radiohead meets Queens of the Stone Age" (XFM) - think quirky, alternative rock with a mediterranean flavour, three part vocal harmonies and a pounding rhythm section.

"A distinctive sound, explosive guitars and powerful drums are the order of the day." - The Sound Magazine

"Grand, melodramatic indie rock." - NME magazine

"A combination of a part delicate and part authoritative voice, soaring with some indie grandeur. Elbow meets Jeff Buckley and convinces him not to go swimming." - New Noise
