New Street Adventure
With the classic style and structure of soul cut with a distinctly modern British edge, New Street Adventure has the in-crowd buzzing and a growing fan base getting their kicks out on the floor. Debut Single 'Hanging On/Hanging Up' out April 2012.
Phantom Limb
Phantom Limb are a refreshing and timely reminder of what country and soul music can and should be. The band have performed at many festivals including Glastonbury, WOMAD and SXSW. Support tours have included Candi Staton, Solomon Burke, The Avett Brothers and more recently Rumer.
Yolanda, Stew, Dan, Andy, Luke and Matt have settled into a stride that’s yielded a critically acclaimed, self-titled debut album and a growing list of memorable shows in the UK, Europe and the USA. There are not many bands that individually display such musical empathy with one another. Simple, enchanting music with this much integrity is hard to find, but so easy to fall in love with when you do. The influences are clear but subtle – Gillian Welch, Aretha Franklin, The Band, Etta James, The Staple Singers. Phantom Limb delicately conveys the same disarming honesty that only comes from singing about the truth. ((Yolanda’s incredible voice and lyrics can – and probably will – bring a tear to your eye with a cocktail of hope and resignation, sadness and joy.
All the band members have written, recorded or toured with multi-platinum selling artists. Massive Attack, Will Young and Pee Wee Ellis to name but a few.
